What is Google Ads?
Google Ads, Google AdWords, is Google’s advertising system where advertisers bid on certain keywords in order for their clickable ads to appear in Google search results. Because advertisers need to pay for these clicks, this is how Google makes money from search.
Depending on the competitiveness of the keywords you bid and the relevance of those keywords to actual conversions for your company, AdWords may or may not work for your business. Mostly, we’ve found that Google AdWords is very effective for different types of businesses, as long as they do not waste their money on the wrong keywords, or write a weak CTR ad.
Of course, you may think we are somewhat biased because we are writing for the WordStream blog. But we work here because of my love in PPC, and I really believe Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) can work for almost any business: small, medium, or large.
